In 1995-1997 the Ball Building was rebuilt, and a new building was erected by Karsten Rønnow Architects and Hans Scheving.
The entire construction is brick-built in yellow Flensborg brick. The facades are characterised by the many round gates interspaced by pilasters. The buildings have profiled cornices of moulded bricks up against the hipped tile roofs that are provided with eaves boards. The window panes are divided by white-painted timber sashes, the gates are green- and white-painted.The former main entrance, Kongeporten (The Royal Gate) is placed between the two main blocks towards the waterfront. It is built as a portal with a sculpture of King Christian VI.
