The Northern Boiler Shop and power house

The monumental yellow brick building contains a large production hall with rails and a hoist under the ceiling. It is likely that it is the hoist that has necessitated the very heavy buttresses to strengthen the structure. The building has tall cast-iron windows and multi-leafed gates with basket-handle arches.
