Brandts Torv was laid out in 2004 in connection with the comprehensive renovation and rebuilding of Brandts Klædefabrik, which meant that the main entrance to Brandts was moved to its present position on Brandts Torv. The square itself is paved with (Indian) granite and the Kongestien with yellow paving tiles. The granite paving is designed using pentagonal shapes, which perfectly match the irregular walls that surround the square. The pattern used on the square extends into the foyer of Brandts Klædefabrik and may clearly be seen through the glass surfaces of the facade. On the square is a sculpture by Hein Heinsen (previously sited near Sct. Ansgar Church).
