The church is built as a cruciform church with a 47-metre high, detached campanile. The church and campanile are built of red, machine-moulded brick on a base of granite. The lightness of the campanile contrasts with the enclosed structure of the church. The church and the campanile are both clearly inspired by Italian traditions. The inside of the church has barrel vaults and a cupola over the intersection of the nave and transept. The church is oriented with the entrance facing the city, which creates a natural, visual unity.
